Copper Pistol Lou is a first-generation stud for North Star Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Born on August 27, 2023, Copper is the product of a pairing between Pistol Fanny Rue and Calie’s Corgis Prince Charles. Raised among a variety of animals, including geese, chickens, horses, cattle, and cats, Copper is an excellent companion both indoors and outdoors. His laid-back temperament, loyalty, and adaptability make him a cherished member of our family.
Copper’s exceptional heritage, impressive conformation, and outstanding temperament continue to amaze us. With a strong herding drive, he exemplifies the working spirit of the breed. Despite being an intact male, he is neither overly dominant nor aggressive. Instead, his fun-loving, free-spirited nature makes him a joy to be around. His favorite companion is our beloved Dazzling Rossi Sue.
In September 2025, Copper will undergo his OFA hip health screening, marking an exciting milestone in his journey as a stud. While we do not currently have a compatible match for him on-site due to the challenge of finding stock without the DM genetic mutation, we are deeply committed to ensuring the health of our puppies. To guarantee a bright and healthy future for our pups, it is essential to avoid breeding this mutation with another carrier.
This will open opportunities for him to sire litters with females across the United States. Our program will offer live cover, as well as frozen and chilled specimens for shipping. We are excited about Copper’s future and look forward to the possibility of adding an in-house dam perfectly suited to his genetic profile.
